The programme book for Chemnitz 2025 as European Capital of Culture was awarded the coveted ADC Bronze Nail for outstanding creative work. The Art Directors Club (ADC) for Germany is one of the most renowned institutions in the industry that promotes excellent creative communication. The award is given to work that stands out due to its special creative quality.
The programme overview, which includes well over 200 projects and more than 1000 events for the Capital of Culture year, was deliberately designed to be unpretentious and creative. The challenge was to visualise a programme whose formats were not yet fully known and where many details and photos of the events were still missing. The programme for an entire Capital of Culture year is a real grab bag. The aim was to celebrate this grab bag. The result is a programme preview that looks less like a classic programme book and more like a collection of record covers. Small indie formats and major cultural highlights have been given equal weight and energy. After every turn of the page, the next gem could be lurking. In the opinion of the expert jury, the graphics team hit the nail on the head.
The programme book not only captures the diversity and unpredictability of the programme, but also invites you to discover the "secret treasures" of the cultural year for yourself. It can still be ordered online and also on site at the Hartmannfabrik Visitor Centre(Mon-Sat 10am-6pm, Sun 10am-3pm) and at the Chemnitz Tourist Information Centre (google Maps). You can also download it from theDownload areadownload area. There you will also find a↷ Annual overview.
